Arrivals and Departures

We schedule daily departures in all our programs, please ask for availability.

Recommendations to choose flights according to the Lodge’s programming schedule:

First arrival flights: LIMA/IQUITOS arriving before 09:00 a.m / Last departure flights: IQUITOS/LIMA leaving after 06:00 p.m or 18:00 p.m

 

Do I need any vaccinations?

It is recommended that you get the yellow fever vaccine at least 10 days before traveling.

 

What is the weather like?

Because of its location, Iquitos experiences a humid tropical climate with temperatures ranging from 21°C to 33°C (70° to 91°F); the average annual temperature is 26.7°C (80°F). The Amazon summers are very hot and cloudy (June to November), it is the dry season, where we can see extensive and numerous beaches. Amazon winters are short, hot and partially cloudy (December to May), this is the rainy season; that is, we must be prepared for rains and eventual cold fronts. The average annual rainfall fluctuates between 2,000 and 3,000 millimeters.

 

How much luggage can I take?

The Ecolodge does not limit the size or weight of your luggage, but if you have excess luggage please inform us at the time of booking. The luggage limitation will usually depend on the airline you use.

 

What clothes should I bring?

Light cotton clothes, polo or long sleeve shirts and long pants for the walks in the jungle. When in the lodge you can wear short sleeves or shorts. A light jacket for cool nights. Remember to bring your bathing suit, insect repellent, sunscreen, a hat or cap, sunglasses or goggles, water bottle, personal medications if necessary, flashlight and your photo camera.

 

Do you have Wi-Fi?

Yes, at the Club House we have Wi-Fi signal a few hours a day, it’s free. However, remember that because we are far away from the city of Iquitos, the signal can fail due to weather conditions (rain).

 

What are the forms of payment?

We accept Visa or MasterCard credit or debit cards. We can also receive payment through national and international bank transfers.

 

What kind of food do you offer?

All food is included during your stay at the Ecolodge. The service we offer is a set menu: starter, main course and dessert. The meals are prepared with local ingredients. If you have any food restrictions, it is important that you inform us at the time of booking.

 

What happens if I get sick or injured at the Ecolodge?

Our operations office is located in Iquitos, maintaining constant communication with the Ecolodge. Additionally, all our staff and guides are trained to act immediately in case of any emergency.

It is important to remember that every visitor is protected with an accident insurance. We have contingency plans for every emergency, including remote medical assistance by Clinica Tramazon Doctor. If necessary, our passengers can be evacuated to Nauta or to the city of Iquitos with our own boats.
